
| Sensei Ernie Brennecke - Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) A retired, Sports Physical Therapist who, while in the Air Force, received his first of five Black Belts in Japan in 1965. In 1966, Sensei opened this nation's first Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate school in Spokane, Washington. Since that time, Sensei has taken part in numerous national and international events--giving him a well deserved reputation worldwide. After selling his Physical Therapy practice in 1996, Sensei Brennecke has pursued a full-time career in martial arts. Sensei Brennecke is a highly qualified and Certified Professional Martial Arts Instructor who effectively conveys his knowledge in a way that encourages and motivates students of all ages and ethnicities to do their best. He was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame on September 11, 2004. Sensei Brennecke is currently the Northwest Regional Coordinator for the IOGKF, in close association with Sensei Gene Villa (Chief Instructor USA). |

| Sensei Erik Brennecke - Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) Erik was first exposed to karate as a toddler, by viewing Martial Arts videos while sitting on his father's stomach. Karate was his major physical activity during his elementary and high school years. He learned karate well, and earned his Junior Black Belt at age 11 in 2001. His training continued for the next six years before taking a brief break. Erik returned to training in late 2007 and showed renewed enthusiasm. Erik has attended many tournaments and seminars both nationally and internationally (Canada, South Africa, Okinawa). He was one of four selected to represent the USA at the 2010 IOGKF World Championships which was held in Stellenbosch, South Africa. |
