MIGHTY MITES classes are geared for children, between 8-12 years of age. However,
which class is best for any particular student, is determined in consultation with
parents. Other factors, besides age, may be considered.
Several studies show that this period of life is when our children form friendships, and
create habits that often last a lifetime. This is the time when most kids will be
exposed to drugs, alcohol, and bad language for the first time. They also begin to
express negative attitudes, habits and behaviors. Therefore, we at Pro-ACTION feel
it is very important to provide a positive environment for the kids to learn the basic
life skills of focus, respect, discipline, listening, accepting authority, and old-fashioned
manners.
In the process of teaching karate, students will acquire several physical skills as well -
including balance, coordination, strength and flexibility.
During the first year, ABC’s of Self Defense are emphasized - including Awareness and
Avoidance, Breathing and Boundary Setting, and finally… Combat.
The classes are fun, energetic, and based on Christian principles.

Testimonials
"I see a lot of admiration from the students to their Instructors. I feel a lot of this
stems from a positive attitude from them. I see students building their self-
confidence each time they come to class."
Denise - Mother
"Tyler loves Sensei. He thinks he's funny, and loves to go to class because he learns
a lot while having fun. He practices a lot at home. I very much appreciate your
curriculum and the way you teach the kids!"
Cheyene - Mother
"Excellent! Nathan is thoroughly enjoying himself. I think he's learning quite a bit
also. I'm growing as well by just watching the interaction of the instructors with the
kids. Great corrective techniques!"
Belinda - Mother
"Nick would be lost without being able to attend class every week. He is having great
fun while learning. Keep up the good work and work him harder"
