What do you teach?

We teach traditional, Okinawan-style, Goju-ryu Karate and Fitness
Kickboxing.  Self-defense is a main focus of karate training in the first year of
participation.  Self defense, sparring, and grappling classes are taught as a
complementary part of our curriculum, and in seminars.

Do you have a Family Discount?

Yes, we offer special discounts for immediate family members of enrolled
students.  Discounts are successive, but the forth student and above train for
free!

Do you offer a free trial class?

Better than a free trial class, we offer a 30 day money back
guarantee - for any class you fully participate in during the first month, and
are not satisfied with.

We can “sell  you” in a single class or week, but with a month of experience
you will know without a doubt, that we are the school for you, or not.  We are
so sure you will want to continue, that we are willing to take all the risk.

How long are the classes?

The length of classes was determined by educational research, which reflects
how long the various age groups are able to maintain focus on
the task at hand.

Beginning Little Ninja classes are 30 minutes long.
Advanced Little Ninja and all Mighty Mite classes are 45 minutes.
Teen/Adult class ranges from 60-120 minutes long, depending on rank.

How often are your classes?

All classes (karate and kickboxing) train two days per week, either
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

Do I have to sign an annual or extended contract?

No.  However, you are asked to sign a 30 day advanced written notice
agreement in order to cancel or alter your membership status.

When are you open?

You may reach us at 966-1975 anytime night or day.  We are physically at the
school between 4:30–8:30pm, Monday through Thursday.  Fridays and
Saturdays are by appointment and according to our Grading, Special Events,
and Birthday Party schedule.

How many students are in each class?

We have discovered that the number in the class is not nearly
as important as the personalities that comprise each class.  However, a
second instructor is always available or physically on the floor assisting with
each class.

Do you practice Eastern chants, meditation, or methodology in your
school?

No.  The instructors and several students and families actively serve and
worship in their respective Christian churches.  Any bowing in class simply
shows respect or thanks (thank you for working with me, thank you for
teaching me, etc)  All counseling requested, and offered is unapologetically
Bible-based.  Eastern religious beliefs and practices have no ties to, or
influences on, the way we practice and teach Karate.

How much does it cost?

Our fees are well below the national average and are locally competitive.  Please
call for an appointment, so we can discuss specific pricing - according
to your age, number of family members planning to join, ages of the family
members, and which of our programs you are interested in.

Is there a joining fee?

Yes.  For karate, the joining fee pays for a quality uniform and belt, an
introductory manual, a curriculum video, an hour long introductory class (so
you know what's going on when you enter your first class), and tuition for the
first month of training.

For kickboxing, the joining fee pays for quality boxing gloves, wrist wraps and
the first month of classes.

Why do you hold an introductory class?

To introduce the staff and training environment to the student, to assure
proper fit of the uniform (gi) and belt; to give a “mini-class” where the
conduct, etiquette, safety rules, expected classroom behavior and basic
physical skills can be explained.  It is also a time when the goals of the student
can be explored, when the student meets prospective classmates, and the
response of the student to the teacher, and others, observed.
